Mentor Corps

About

The element that separates Veterans Courts from all other treatment courts is their dedicated team of volunteer mentors. These mentors build peer connection and trust while guiding the veterans through the program. They navigate challenges and barriers that arise with them while keeping them accountable and motivated. The mentors break the mental walls the service taught veterans to put up, showing consistent and reliable actions to their mentees. They bring the veterans back into the community by helping them fulfill new purpose outside of service, while never losing that part of who they are. At the forefront of our Mentor Corp is our Mentor Coordinator, Gordon Harrington. He simultaneously leads the Mentors while holding the position of one, and has done so for over a decade. Gordon is a guiding force for the Mentors, the Veterans, and the VTC Team.
